PROJECT PAPER UFES: THE VIABILITY OF THE USE OF PUBLIC FUNDS TO PRESERVE COLLECTIVE AND CULTURAL PROPERTY
Abstract
The Project Engraving – Four decades of academic production in the Center of Arts of the UFES is a series of actions for conservation of the collection of engravings DAV/CAR/UFES. The collection is formed by workmanships produced by beard and metal in the Studio of the Center of Arts of the UFES since 1968, kept for the professors of the area since the 80’s years and inventoried in 2007 in my Work’s Conclusion Course, intitled Cataloguing of Engravings Produced in the Center of Art of the UFES, from 60’s decade until the current days. Beyond the catalog, the TCC traced a strategic planning of conservation and preservation of the collection, that if materialize from the selection of this project in Proclamation 22/2010 of the SECULT – Selection of cultural projects and concession of financial support for inventory, conservation and reproduction of collections in the State – Espirito Santo. The partnership with the Nucleus of Conservation and Restoration of the Center of Arts of the UFES allowed to the inclusion of the academic community and the total execution of the Project in the dependences of the University during the second half of 2010.Downloads
