Abstract

This paper aims to question how the museums are positioned about the acceleration of cultural processes, especially the Historical Museum Visconde of São Leopoldo/RS. By situating these cultural environments in the contemporary context are checked the transformations adopted for the museum and its methods, pressured by shopping culture, be seen on the consumer society
