Abstract

The collection of the Theodoro Sampaio Land Survey Laboratory is presented. Housed at the Transportation and Geodetics Engineering Department of the Polytechnic School of the Federal University of Bahia, it retraces the steps taken to exhibit this set of Science and Technology instruments in museum form. These improvements were only made possible as the collection was included in the Promotion of Brazilian Scientific and Technological Heritage Project - MAST/MCTI. The report is told of how procedures similar to those used in museums were applied to the collection, gradually gaining recognition from the Polytechnic School of the Federal University of Bahia.
