Cybermuseum and memory at network: the Museum of Banal things (MCB) like a way and place of memory.

Abstract

This discussion, on memory preservation on the network, while a cultural interface for communication, it also may be used as a means and place of memory. When we think of the net as preservation and sharing means in a period marked by the hybridization of media and languages, it is necessary to situate again notions as: virtuality and immateriality. The emergence of cybermuseums, as is the case of the Museum of Banal Things attention to a new modality of place of memory and its own characteristics, which open a field of discussion which relates to the contemporary challenge to adequate safeguard principles of collections to the models of museal institutions that came to be with the new technologies.
