This article analyzes the importance of maintaining access to information provided by the Museu Técnico Científico do Instituto Oscar Freire (MTCIOF), one of the most important collections of Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP). Closed since September 2015, the institution was facing organizational problems and museological treatment, despite having a rich and historical documentary and iconographic collection linked to forensic medicine. Since it was conceived, almost a century ago, the museum has aimed to provide students and professors of legal medicine teaching material for studies and research.Downloads
