La emergencia del discurso sobre Patrimonio en Chile (1997-2009)

Abstract

: The paper presents an outline of the most relevant discourses on which is founded the heritage discursive network that appeared during the Concertación government. Those may take place surrounding discursive events uttered by public institutions, social actors and Presidents of the Republic. The paper exposes the exchanges between a discourse created on mid the nineties around some lacks towards heritage protection policies and the need to state them, and some more recent discourses which are compromised solely with the theme public stablishment and the creation of a cultural legitimacy in which the heritage diffusion and protection play a leading role, on the account of the forthcoming bicentennial. Finally, it is pointed out current indexes concerning a growing worry towards local heritage, that are influenced by new concepts of thinking heritage in a more dinamics and plural way.
