Abstract

This article is about MUCA: Museum of Animation Cinema Lula Gonzaga, which is located in Gravatá, Pernambuco. The museum is a space dedicated to animated film. Thus, the museum collection consists of drawings, tools used for production of animated film, photographs, books about animation, audiovisual documents, and many others. The interaction with the audience at the museum occurs through guided visits, animation production workshops, social actions, and the Animacine, which is a festival. Besides that, the museum has a website that allows the audience for a 3D visit at the museum. In addition, the museum has their own teaching method for producing animation, which aims to make animation production accessible for young people and children from peripheral communities of Brazil. This occurs in dialogue with the local culture.
