Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study which aimed to analyze the socialization of scientific knowledge concerning the archaeological heritage (PA) in Uruguayan museums. Socialization generates an educational content building a specific discursive practice. It is understood as the dimension that relates to the communicative process and the relationship between society and heritage. We sought to provide a diagnosis its features to contribute to the development of this heritage in various Uruguayan institutions. For this, a qualitative methodology was implemented which included the analysis of semi-structured interviews and booklets. Among the results, we highlight the integration of perceptions of the actors involved in these processes and the difficulties faced by the archaeological museums in Uruguay, such as lack of specialized staff and educational activities which result from the exposure of archaeological objects.
