Abstract

The paper presents the study of the implantation of Balance Scorecard (BSC) and the strategic map, by Kaplan and Norton (2004), at Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional, Iphan. One aims at describing and analyzing the coherence of the strategic objectives concerning Iphan’s paramount perspectives: society, its procedure and its internal organization, such as means to face inherent challenges to the field of cultural patrimony, which becomes more and more complex.
