Scientific heritage of Education: remaining objects in the first public secondary schools in the State of São Paulo

The goal of this study was to locate and characterize the set of old objects destined to the teaching of the scientific subjects, belonging to the first secondary schools of the State of São Paulo. The investigation focused on the 24 schools that were in operation in 1936, according to the information of the Education Yearbook (1936-1937). The survey showed that there are objects of historical value in the ancient secondary schools, in São Paulo, but the conditions in which they are found, in the great majority of cases, endanger its conservation.Downloads
