This article aims to establish a dialogue between history teaching in undergraduate programs and its interaction with museums and heritage in general. It focuses on the urban dimension and its landmarks, seeking to break down boundaries between museums and streets. It emphasizes the exercise of a historical perspective that inquires, questions, problematizes, contextualizes, and connects. Thus, the enjoyment of urban space, whether museum or non-museum, is understood as a territory for incursions that stimulate this perspective. More specifically, it presents a series of experiences conducted in the city of (nome da cidade) and its surrounding area, based on the practices of the History (nome da disciplina) course at the Federal University of (nome da Universidade). It briefly discusses its implementation and dynamics, as well as a series of experiences with Environmental Studies aimed at encouraging the collective construction of this perspective by participants. Places such as streets, listed heritage sites, a river estuary, cultural and museum institutions, and events, such as the observation of a 19th-century astronomical phenomenon in a chapel belonging to a fishing community, are among the activities carried out. At the end, some participants' statements are presented, aiming to highlight some of the participants' perceptions. The aim is to recognize the necessary connections between history research and teaching and the heritage and museum dimensions, as well as to observe the peculiarities of the spaces. But, most importantly, to bring the "outsider" perspective of the teacher and the students who visit these spaces, in order to foster a network of dialogue between the different stakeholders in education and the heritage field.
