Resumen

El propósito del presente artículo es poner en discusión los procesos museológicos que se han realizado en la localidad de Lagoas en São Vítor, zona rural del municipio de São Raimundo Nonato, al interior de Piauí. Para fines contextuales, São Víctor es históricamente proveniente de la hacienda del mismo nombre – una famosa unidad esclavista. Esa memoria se encuentra expresada en la constitución del Territorio Quilombo o Cimarrón de Lagoas. Además de la herencia de la época colonial, existen en el área sitios arqueológicos y paleontológicos, que son bien conocidos, siendo cotidianamente resignificados más allá de los discursos de carácter científico. En relación con el pasado reciente, la región se caracteriza por una intensa organización popular, demarcada por las asociaciones y las narrativas en torno a las negociaciones y luchas por mejores condiciones de vida. En este marco, los profesores y estudiantes de la Universidad Federal del Vale do São Francisco comenzaron en 2013 un trabajo de extensión, donde reflexionaron con la comunidad sobre las construcciones patrimoniales integrando los saberes tradicionales, la historia y el medio ambiente. En este contexto, la población expresó el deseo de crear un museo que se dedique a comunicar el protagonismo de São Vítor y, al mismo tiempo, servir como vector para el desarrollo local. Para todos los efectos, ese escenario constituyó el lugar ideal para las experimentaciones colaborativas en el ámbito de la Museología Social, Arqueología Comunitaria y desarrollo sustentable, conectadas con una Educación Transformadora, que utilice las experiencias y vivencias como punto de partida y de llegada para reflexiones sobre civismo y emancipación sociopolítica. La culminación de ese movimiento ha sido la intensificación de las manifestaciones en favor de la consolidación del Museo Integral en la Comunidad de São Vítor, acompañadas de la percepción de que el museo es un fenómeno vivo y transformador.
