Abstract

This paper analyzes the economics of the tragic in the House-Museum of Cora Coralina, in Goiás-GO. It investigates the symbolic economy around the flood of the Red River that invaded the museum and the way this critical event interfered in the configuration of the museological exhibitions. It problematizes the tension, an attribute of the dramatic, present in the exhibition, having as a guiding thread the way the different memories about the flood interbred in the production of the belief in Cora Coralina.
